The service weapon carried by Deputy Jerry Soares during his faithful service with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office shall be awarded to his wife, Gwen Soares.
This award shall serve as a permanent remembrance of Deputy Soares’ dedication, sacrifice, and devotion to the people of Sumner County.

Brooklyn White of 933 Sunset Drive, Gallatin spoke in favor of Resolution 2510-23 and also spoke in favor of the discussion about volunteer fire funding. James Jones of 1135 Fowler Ford Road, Portland spoke in favor of Resolution 2510-23 and expressed his support for funding the volunteer fire departments. Sarah Hilton of 1259 Payton Lane, Gallatin spoke to Resolution 2510-23 and in favor of funding for the volunteer fire departments. Charlena Aumiller of 143 Ruland Cr., Hendersonville spoke against term limits but spoke in favor of increased funding for the volunteer fire departments and supports Resolution 2510-23. Joseph Chelini of 739 Bowling Branch Road, Cottontown spoke to the need for increased funding for the volunteer fire departments.
