Commissioner Beeler moved to amend the agenda to add the following items: Item #38 – Resolution R-23-8-909 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, respectfully requesting the members of the Knox County Delegation to the Tennessee General Assembly advocate for expanded mental health care services in Knox County; and Item #39 – Resolution R-23-8-910 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, requesting the Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission to work with Knox County Codes Administration to recommend amendments to the Knox County Zoning Ordinance to regulate short-term rentals in Knox County. Commissioner Jay seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Lundy, Durrett, Oster, Ward, Schoonmaker, Hill, Lee, Beeler, Dailey, Jay and Frazier voted aye. Commissioner Beeler moved to amend the agenda to defer the following items to the September 2023 meeting: #40 – Resolution R-23-8-101 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, memorializing Thomas “Tank” Strickland; and Item #47 – Resolution R-23-8-801 - Consideration of a Resolution of the Commission of Knox County, Tennessee, approving an interlocal agreement between Knox County and the Industrial Development Board related to the Axle Logistics property swap for $1.4 million. The amount in question will be paid through destinations and included in the Fiscal Year 2025 Capital Improvement Plan. Commissioner Jay seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Lundy, Durrett, Oster, Ward, Schoonmaker, Hill, Lee, Beeler, Dailey, Jay, and Frazier voted aye. Code Ann. § 48-101-312. Commissioner Jay seconded the motion and upon roll call vote Commissioners Lundy, Durrett, Oster, Ward, Schoonmaker, Hill, Lee, Beeler, Dailey, Jay, and Frazier voted aye.
